The Los Angeles Digital Directory was launched in early 2009 by partners and serial entrepreneurs Sam Moon and Rob Berthume. The partners also co-own leading LA web development company Eclyptix (formerly Epsilon Concepts) and Internet marketing agency Moon Berthume. They also run two blogs, Things Worth Talking About and Moon Berthume Monthly. Their businesses are based at 1010 Wilshire Blvd.; Suite 1101, Los Angeles, CA 90017.
Together they have worked on over 250 web projects for global clients. They have years of experience working with vendors in this industry, finding freelancers, bidding on projects, and creating connections. Eclyptix was founded in 2000 as the first business and the partners decided to leverage their years of experience in the digital realm to produce a usable and useful directory for web-related vendors, projects, freelancers, gigs, jobs, job-seekers, recruiters, events and internships.. By zoning in on Los Angeles, where their companies are based and their connections exist, they wanted to create a directory that was tightly monitored and human-edited to ensure the highest quality and most specific results for the tech and entertainment industries.
There are certainly many job boards and directories out there, but the partners aimed to create a better website that is simplistic yet helpful, something that lists only local, quality, validated listings.
